Employees

Hello, Colleague!

In this series, employees from around the world introduce themselves. Today: Dennis Senne (37) from Health Services at the Volkswagen Wolfsburg location.

"I myself have three sons. I really enjoy organizing the program for our department and then teaching the kids about occupational health topics."

Dennis Senne

What exactly is your current role at the Wolfsburg plant?

I work in Health Services and the Production Ergonomics team. We help in workplace design and physical risk assessment. I’ve been with Volkswagen since 2010, and before moving to Wolfsburg I worked in Health Services at the Kassel plant for three years, also in the field of ergonomics.

What is the best experience you have had so far at Volkswagen?

The childcare here at the Wolfsburg location during school holidays, which I take care of for Health Services, is always nice. I myself have three sons. I really enjoy organizing the program for our department and then teaching the kids about occupational health topics.
This includes topics like skin protection or the rescue chain.

What should colleagues visiting Wolfsburg and the surrounding area be sure to see or do?

Wolfsburg has some top-level ice hockey, and starting in September the German Ice Hockey League (DEL) will finally play again. You really should visit the Grizzlys in their hall in Allerpark! I’m a big ice hockey fan and look after the “running students,” i.e. the four to 12-year-olds. I also like the city festivals in Wolfsburg, for example the Boar Festival
in Vorsfelde or the Old City festival in Fallersleben. You always get into a conversation with people very quickly there.
