Who will win the World Cup?

Brazil! We have a strong collective with outstanding individuual players who have the ability to change the outcome of a match single-handedly. Coach Tite, whom I played with once in the 80s,
has formed a team capable of winning the World Cup. In the qualifying round, our team already put on an outstanding performance.

Who is your favorite player – and why?

Neymar. He has an incredible ability to upset the balance of a game. He is our most important player, and the whole of Brazil is placing its hopes on him.

How will you watch the World Cup?

I will watch the games at home with family and friends.

Who will win the World Cup?

Although I obviously hope that Mexico wins the cup, I think that Germany has the best chance. They simply have a great team with exceptional players.

How will the Mexican team perform in the World Cup?

I think that our team can be successful if
everyone pulls together.

Who is your favorite player – and why?

My favorite player on the Mexican team is defender Miguel Layún. In the past, I was a big fan of Luís Figo. As a child I was in awe of how he played for Real Madrid. He first sparked my passion for soccer.

The Russian team is not having a good time at the moment. The team doesn’t have any star players. I’m afraid we will be knocked out in the first round.

I like charismatic players like Zinédine Zidane, Michael Ballack, Gianluigi Buffon, Cristiano Ronaldo, Lionel Messi and Igor Akinfejew.

Where and with whom will you watch the World Cup matches?

One of the matches I will watch with my husband at the stadium. We are traveling to the beautiful city of Kazan especially for the match. The other matches we will watch with friends at a sports bar.

Who will win the World Cup?

Many teams play at an extremely high level in today’s soccer. My favorites to win are Brazil and Germany. I would find it interesting if a country like Senegal or Egypt were to win. I can’t even imagine what the reaction in those countries would be. But that’s a Utopian dream.

How will the Russian team perform in the World Cup?

I don’t have much confidence in our team. The squad is not particularly strong. Nevertheless, I will support them wholeheartedly.

Who is your favorite player – and why?

Zinédine Zidane, because he is a soccer genius. I still remember his two goals in the World Cup final of 1998.

Where and with whom will you watch the World Cup matches?

Most of the matches I will watch at home with friends. I think it’s great how many details you can see on the television.

Who will win the World Cup?

Brazil or Germany. The Seleção is playing the most beautiful soccer right now. Meanwhile, the German team will benefit from its great youth
work. They are a formidable opponent.

How will the Argentinian team perform in the
World Cup?

Messi should really win us the
World Cup. But the way we have been playing recently
is only good enough to make the quarter or semi-final at best.

Who is your favorite player – and why?

Without a doubt, Lionel Messi. He has been playing
at the highest level for a decade.

When he is on form, he can win
a match
single-handedly.
