Some 50 employees produce tools for Volkswagen plants worldwide in Stupava. Since last year, the site has had what is currently the largest SLM 3-D metal printer in the world. The acronym SLM stands for a printing technology that involves re-melting metal powder in a powder compartment using a laser. “The 3-D printing technology is an inspiration for new solutions in construction. It has a big future, because new possibilities are constantly being discovered,” says employee Karol Klepoch, examining an ancillary bracket in the photo.
