The secret is out: Here is what the super sportster from the I.D.-series looks like, which will attempt to set a new record in Colorado, USA in July.

Going on the record hunt at the Pikes-Peak-Hill Climb on June 24, 2018 
for Volkswagen is the super sportster from the I.D. family – the 500 kW/
680 bhp-
strong I.D. R Pikes Peak was presented just a few days ago in Alès, France. The electric sports car with the huge rear wing sprints 
from zero to 100 km/h in 2.25 seconds –- faster than a Formula 1 car. 
The challenge at the Pikes Peak Hill Climb Race for the I.D. electric prototype and Volkswagen driver Romain Dumas: Start at 2,862 meters, 

156 corners, asphalt track, then finish in thin air at 4,302 meters – 
and only one attempt to beat the current record time of 
8: 57.118 minutes.
