Hello, colleague!

» I like the motivating environment «

Romildo Martins

Mr. Martins, how long have you been at Volkswagen, and what exactly do you do at the Curitiba plant?

I have been working here since June of 2008, and it’s my job to prepare car bodies for the painting process. I actually started working with Volkswagen before that. In 2001, I worked for a logistics company that supplied components. I was the person responsible for inspecting them.

What has been your best experience at Volkswagen so far? Why do you like working here?

That’s very easy: I was involved in preparing different cars for major press events, and that was a great experience. In general, I’m very happy to be working here at Volkswagen. What I especially like is that for the past nine years I have been able to work in such a pleasant and motivating environment. The company is committed to the welfare of all us employees. Other things that I find impressive are the many technological innovations and the reliable processes.

What should colleagues who pay a visit to Curitiba be sure not to miss?

Here in Curitiba we have some beautiful parks that are worth a visit. The city also offers great culinary attractions. One of the places that I would really recommend that all guests should visit is the Caminho do Vinho, our wine route. Tourists really like it, and it’s very close to our plant. There are a lot of great restaurants and bars along the route, where you can spend many wonderful hours.
