Data Protection Statement
We are pleased that you are visiting a website of Volkswagen AG, Berliner Ring 2, 38440 Wolfsburg, Germany, registered in the Commercial Register of the Amtsgericht Braunschweig (Braunschweig District Court) under No. HRB 100484 ("Volkswagen AG") and wish to thank you for your interest in our company and our products. The protection of your privacy is particularly important to us. This document explains how we collect, process, and use your data. This is in all cases done in conformity with the provisions of data protection law.
General Information, Protocol Data
You are in general able to visit the websites of Volkswagen AG without telling us who you are. We will in this case receive only the following protocol data:
Collection, Processing, and Use of Your Personal Data
Your personal data include such things as your name, address, telephone number, and e-mail address. Personal data are only collected, processed, and/or used if you choose to provide us with this information, for instance when entering into, defining the content of, or modifying a contractual relationship with us, or when registering for personalized services. Furthermore, no use will be made of your personal data unless you have previously given your consent.
Use of Adobe Analytics
This website uses the web analysis service Adobe Analytics to analyze user visits to the site. For purposes of this analysis, cookies are stored on your terminal device and used to collect information that is stored on the servers of Adobe Systems Software Ireland Limited ("Adobe"). You may reject the collection and processing of data at any time with future effect by changing your browser setting to prevent the acceptance of cookies or by clicking on the following button: "Opt Out"
The information stored on the Adobe servers cannot be directly traced to an individual because Adobe Analytics is used with the following settings: "Before Geo-Lookup: Replace visitor's last IP octet with 0" and "Obfuscate IP-Removed." The setting "Before Geo-Lookup: Replace visitor's last IP octet with 0" causes the IP address to be anonymized prior to so-called geolocation by substituting zeros for the last octet in the IP address. For statistical analysis, the user's approximate location is added to the tracking package, which still contains the complete IP address. Before the tracking package is saved, the IP address is then replaced by a single generic IP address when the setting "Obfuscate IP-Removed" is configured. This removes the IP address from the data record that is stored.
You have the right, exercisable at any time, to information regarding the processing and use of your personal data as well as the right to have this data corrected or deleted. These rights are exercisable free of charge by contacting Volkswagen AG through the e-mail address email@example.com or through the contact information in the Imprint.
