What’s an essential part of the most attractive holiday of the year? A Christmas market! The Kassel plant thought so too, and organized their first Christmas market for employees on the plant’s grounds.
Plant manager Thorsten Jablonski presided over the opening on St. Nicholas’ Day (December 6) and immediately served up hot beverages for the workforce along with his colleagues from plant management. December 15 was the last day. During that time hundreds of employees enjoyed their lunch break under Christmas lights, savoring tasty treats like Belgian waffles and bratwurst.
Employees from different departments − from gear manufacturing to QA and logistics, factory security personnel and the works council − took turns serving beverages from the drinks counter for a good cause. For a donation, the employees got fruit punch, hot apple and hot chocolate drinks − all alcohol-free, of course. One hundred percent of the proceeds are going to the children’s hospice in Kassel. The food could be purchased with cash or charged using the plant ID.
